William R. Kugelman is a partner and leads the firm?s Commercial Transactions & Litigation practice. Mr. Kugelman handles a diverse practice that includes transactional law, commercial litigation, and defense of corporate directors and officers. Mr. Kugelman takes pride in understanding each client?s business and the industry within which it operates. This focus translates to effective and cost-efficient business management and dispute resolution.
Mr. Kugelman has been practicing law since 1988. His vast experience allows him to provide a complete package of legal services to our corporate clients. He has provided legal services to sole-proprietorships, partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies, whether large or small, local or global. He assists clients with the formation and management of business, corporate governance, commercial real estate transactions, asset acquisition, contract disputes, lease and contract negotiations, joint ventures and mergers.
Mr. Kugelman has developed a specialty in renewable energy with particular focus on solar energy. He has represented clients in the development and financing of solar energy projects including the negotiation and drafting of Power Purchase Agreements, Solar License Agreements and in structuring the financing for the projects.
Mr. Kugelman is also a seasoned trial attorney who has handled commercial and corporate litigation matters for over twenty-five years. His experience includes litigation involving complex commercial transactions, shareholder claims, directors and officers liability claims, partner disputes, non-compete and unfair competition claims, franchise disputes, employee loyalty disputes, and construction litigation. Mr. Kugelman’s experience has served as lead trial counsel in complex business matters throughout the country.
